Establish training academy

Case Study | Managing your team

Our client is an FMCG company listed in Euronext and New York exchanges with quality retail units located in across USA and Europe.

In 2004, in order to be in compliance with global financial regulations, it decided to set up a global Training Academy. Its strategic objective is to ensure a consistent training approach and accreditation of all its global finance personnel. The board indicated that all finance personnel must go through the training within this Academy.

We was asked to support the project team to design the guidelines for the Academy, with the prospect to implement a web-based Learning Management System (LMS) to support the operations of the Academy and offer selected e-Learning modules.

Our contribution

  1. In 2005, we provided recommendations and a comprehensive handbook containing guidelines and operating manual on how to run a Training Academy.
  2. In 2006, we also delivered train-the-trainer sessions to equip the in-house trainer pool with effective presentation and facilitation skills and behaviours.

Outcome: The Academy continues to function independently with courses running for all levels of operational personnel.
